Our vision is access to clean drinking water and food for all.

The Elmi Well Foundation aims to support community wellness by providing access to clean drinking water and non-perishable food items to water and food insecure regions on a local and global scale. 

Clean drinking water is a human right. However, due to water scarcity  only 1 in 10 people have access to clean water.

According to Unicef:

• 4 billion people experience water scarcity for at least one month each year
• Greater than 2 billion people live in countries where water supply is inadequate
• By 2040, nearly 1 in 4 children across the globe will be living in water scarce regions 

With the rising cost of food, household food insecurity is on the rise across Canada.

According to Statistics Canada:

• 5.8 million Canadians lived in food-insecure households in 2021
• Children accounted fo 1.4 million of those living in food insecure households
• 16% of Ontarians lived in food insecure households in 2021
