Clean water is a fundamental human right for all.
However, may individuals live in water scarcity or are limited to dirty water. These circumstances leads to a compromise in one's health and wellness.
This is a multifactorial issue that is attributable to poor infrastructure, pollution, depleted sources and climate change.
The Elmi Well Foundation is committed to ensuring clean water for all.
Health & Wellness
The Elmi Well Foundation develops sustainable water wells to increase access to safe water in drought stricken communities. With the development of water wells, we aim to address the impacts of water scarcity.
Community Engagement
We collaborate with local volunteers who build sustainable, community-owned handpumps and deep water wells in drought stricken regions.
Sustainability
Working with local leaders to keep water flowing, the Elmi Well Foundation plans to invest in cutting-edge technology to identify water sources including remote sensing and geophysical surveillance.
Established in 2020, the Elmi Well Foundation has built six water wells in Kismayo, Somalia. The wells are built in collaboration with local volunteers from drought stricken regions with displaced individuals and families. Each water well serves over 40 families ensuring clean water for drinking, personal hygiene and cooking.
